La mia vita da Petti: eccomi qua! – My life as Petti: here I am!

Ciao a tutti! Il mio nome è Clo e questo è lo spazio che la mia mamma ha deciso di concedermi all’interno del suo blog. Qui racconterò alcune mie esperienze che spero saranno utili a voi e ai vostri bimbi-cagnolini. Hello everybody! My name is Clo and this is the space that my mom decided to give me in her blog. Here I’ll tell you some of my experiences that I hope will be useful to you and your baby-dogs.

Inauguro oggi questa rubrica dicendovi alcune cose su di me. Ho trovato la mia mamma nel piovoso pomeriggio di mercoledì 31 Ottobre 2012 e l’ho subito riconosciuta, sebbene il vetro di una finestra ci separasse. Che emozione quando è uscita in strada per venire da me e sono saltata, tutta zuppa, tra le sue braccia! Mi chiamo Clo, al secolo Clotilde, perché quella sera abbiamo visto in televisione la fiction “Sposami” con Francesca Chillemi, Daniele Pecci e Lisa Gastoni, che interpretava zia Clo, anche detta zia Cloclo. Today I open this column telling you something about me. I found my mum in the rainy afternoon of Wednesday, October 31th, 2012 and I immediately recognized her, even if a glass window separeted us. What emotion when she came out into the street to me and I jumped, soaked to the skin, in her arms! My name is Clo, born Clotilde, because that evening we watched at the television “Sposami” drama with Francesca Chillemi, Daniele Pecci and Lisa Gastoni, who played Aunt Clo, also known as Aunt Cloclo.

Adesso ho un anno e mezzo, il 10 Giugno scorso abbiamo festeggiato il mio primo compleanno. Now I am one and half years old, on last June 10th we celebreted my first birthday.

Ho una sorella, Alice, che vive con noi e poi mamma mi ha spiegato che ho anche un’altra sorella maggiore, Lola, che adesso vive in cielo con le nuvolette. I have a sister, Alice, who lives with us, and mum told me that I have another older sister, Lola, who lives in the heaven with clouds.

Petti è uno dei tanti nomignoli con cui mi chiamano spesso la mamma e la nonna e ha più di una provenienza: Petti is one of many nicknames with my mum and my grandma call me often and it has more than one source:

– da “pet” (termine inglese); – from “pet” (English word);

– da “impettita” (in dialetto barese ” ‘mbett “) poiché mamma dice che ho l’aria impettita; – from “strutting” (in Bari dialect ” ‘mbett “, in Italian “impettita”) as mum says I am strutt;

– da “petto” poiché mamma dice sempre che io ho il petto più bello del mondo e che da esso si sprigiona tutto l’amore del mondo. – from “chest” (in Italian “petto”) as mum always says I’ve got the most beautiful chest in the world and all the love in the world is born from it.

Et voilà “La mia vita da Petti”! Et voilà “My life as Petti”!
